Bird Boxes Presented by Wookey Hole WI

Two  skillfully made bird boxes have been presented to Wookey Hole Church by the WI.

Local resident Colin Babb was commissioned to create the predator proof boxes which will be mounted in the church garden.

Wookey Hole WI wished to commemorate the Centenary of the WI by providing a gift for the Church.  It was decided that bird boxes would enhance the area especially if our feathered friends could be persuaded to take up residence..

First Village Evening in the Club

Wednesday 24th February saw the first of the Village Evenings in the Club.  It was fascinating to see such a huge collection of images of Wookey Hole in yesteryear. Lots of discussion ensued identifying locations and comparing life in the village today to life in years gone by.  Many thanks to Dave Hudsmith for sharing his wonderful collection of postcards with us.
