Geology Walk and Cream Tea
Saturday 14 July 2018, 14:00

Dear Wookey Hole Resident,

This is to let you know that the Wookey Hole Residents Forum will be holding a Geology Walk at Deerleap on Saturday 14th July, followed by a cream tea at the Community Hall.

Dr Doug Robinson, until recently a Senior lecturer at Bristol University, will lead the walk.

Deer Leap Walk Saturday 14 July at 2pm

This walk will look at some aspects of the Deer Leap geology to see features associated with the formation of the Mendip Mts about 300 million years ago, when the region lay astride the equator.

To ensure a manageable group the numbers will be limited to a maximum of 18 people. To request a place please email Doug at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and further logistic details of the walk will be sent.

A cream tea will be served at the Community Hall at 4pm following the walk. Everyone is welcome to the cream tea, but please let Doug know how many are coming (email as above) so that we can get the catering right!

No charge for the walk, the cream tea will be £2 per person on the day.
